The Klausner Lumber One sawmill in Live Oak, Florida is said to have a new owner within 90 days. A local politician reports that there are up to twelve interested parties for the takeover.
“A new owner for Klausner Lumber One will be found by mid-August at the latest,” says Jimmy Norris, director of economic development in the Suwannee district, confidently told local newspaper Suwannee Democrat.
Interested parties from the USA, Canada and overseas
Accordingly, up to twelve companies want to discuss a possible takeover with the senior restructuring officer. According to Norris, the prospects come from both the United States, Canada and overseas.
Canadian sawmill companies in particular have been investing in plant purchases in the wood-rich southeastern United States for several years.
