The Lithuanian company Juodeliai is putting into operation a new sawmill with an annual processing capacity of 1 million m³ of roundwood.
The creation of the enterprise, which will start operating in early October 2020, required an investment of 40 million euros.
The new plant is based on a Linck chipper line and Holtec roundwood sorting system. It is planned that the enterprise will mainly process hardwood and only a small part of softwoods. The staff of the enterprise will be 100 people.
The company notes that the sawmill will become the second largest pallet manufacturer in Europe.
