The price of Finnish pine lumber rose slightly in the Chinese market.  According to some Chinese importers, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and other factors, the recent arrival of Finnish pine lumber has been very small, the market inventory is slightly scarce, and the price has risen by about 100 yuan/cubic meter (EUR 12.82/m3).

At present, the price of Finnish pine in Guangdong market (2.1-6m long, 2-5cm thick, SF grade) is 2350-2450 yuan/m3 (EUR 301-314/m3).

Finnish pine lumber exports to China have dropped by 33% from January to September 2020, as compared to the same period of last year (Jan.-Sep. 2020: 290,002 m3 vs. Jan.-Sep. 2019: 194,428 m3).
