In March, the average stumpage price for pine logs in Finland was EUR 59.3 per cubic metre, and the price for spruce logs was EUR 63.3 per cubic meter. Compared to February, these prices rose one per cent.
The stumpage price for pine pulpwood in Finland was EUR 18.3 per cubic meter, while the price for spruce pulpwood was EUR 20.4 and for birch pulpwood EUR 17.6 per cubic meter. The stumpage price level of pulpwood increased by two per cent from the previous month.
The average roadside price for Finnish pine pulpwood was EUR 32.0, for spruce pulpwood EUR 33.9 and for birch pulpwood EUR 32.9 per cubic meter. The price for pine remained at the same level as in February. The price of spruce pulpwood increased three per cent and the price of birch two per cent.
Trade of roundwood in Finland continued active in March. In the first quarter of 2021, a total of 9.5 million cubic meter of industrial roundwood were recorded. The trade grew by 36 per cent year-on-year in January-March and was one per cent higher than the previous three-year average. In comparison to earlier years, the trade of logs in Finland increased by 14 per cent and the trade of pulpwood decreased by 8 per cent.
